Where We've Been and Where We're Going
2025 was a whirlwind of Democratic activity. Some of the actions and activities include:

Spreading the Democratic Message

Participated in Loudon Fourth of July Parade

Staffed a booth at the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce Not-For-Profit Expo

Operated a booth at the Loudon Riverfest distributing "swag" and interacting with the public
-
Greeted citizens at the Party booth at the Lenoir City Street Festival

Held Public Rallies
-
June - First No Kings Rally at Loudon Court House with 200+ participants
-
July - Good Trouble Rally in honor of civil rights leader John Lewis
-
October - Second No Kings Rally with 300+ supporters
​
Spirit and Team Building
Annual Fall Picnic held in Lenoir City Park with scores of people enjoying barbeque dinner and meeting candidates for state and national offices in 2026.
​
Public Service

In April and again in September the Loudon County Democratic Party picked up trash on Route 321 for two miles through Lenoir City.

The Democrats purchased hygiene products and cold weather apparel to supply warming centers for the local homeless population.
​
Fundraising

Spring Gala was held in May at the Telllico Village Yacht Club with 200 contributors enjoying the evening, including the Loudon County Democratic Women Silent Auction.

Annual Pie and Cake Auction was held in December with an ever-entertaining auctioneer, complimentary dinner, and dozens of homemade desserts to bid on. Always a fun-filled wrap-up for the year.

2026 will be even more intense. As an election year with very high stakes, the Loudon County Democratic Party will be leading the charge.
​
National Offices:
Tennessee will be electing one US Senator and all US Representatives. Democrats Diana Onyejiaka (Senate) and Michaela Barnett (Congress) have announced their candidacies for the Democratic nominations.
​
State Offices:
Four strong candidates have announced to run for the Democratic nomination for the Governor's seat. The Loudon County Democratic Party will be aggressively supporting the eventual nominee. Also, Dave Miller is running for State Senate in District 5 (Loudon and Anderson Counties) and Ali Simpson is a candidate for Tennessee Representative District 32 (Lenoir City area).

County Offices:
The Loudon County Democratic Party intends to field a full slate of candidates including County Mayor, County Commissioners, School Board members.
​
Local Office Facility
In the near future, the Loudon County Democratic Party will be opening a local field office to support all candidates and campaigns. Watch this space!
​
So, 2025 was busy, but 2026 will be more so. Strap yourself in for a wild ride!
