ICE: Inform, Document, Warn, Do Not Engage
Good Evening,
Tonight, I want to talk about ICE coming to Loudon County. They have been spotted in the area scouting potential target sites and looking for the most vulnerable among our neighbors to arrest.
This is not America. This is not who we are. We have always believed only third world countries had Secret Police making people disappear, but here we are. Unidentified men in masks snatching our neighbors from work sites, courtrooms, and churches. I am asking for your help.
If you see this happening, there are four important steps we can take.:
1. Inform. If ICE is spotted, let others know what and where things are happening. Text your friends. Use social media to alert everyone you can about what you are witnessing.
2. Document. Shoot video if possible. If you know how to go live on Facebook, do so. If not, post the video as soon as you are able. Be a witness.
3. Warn. Let others in the area know to be on the lookout. Honk your horn. If you see one incident, there will be more. Call attention to their presence.
4. DO NOT ENGAGE. At no time should you engage with the ICE officers. Do not attempt to interfere in their work. Do not confront the officers.
Bravery is contagious…. And it is time to be brave. Our community needs you. The people that are being captured are not rapists, criminals, or dangerous. They are people striving to make a better life for their families. Just like you…just like me. I will be sending updates as the situation develops.
